FOUR EVENTS FOR THE WEEKEND OF CONTEMPORARY ART

TURIN – Diogene Project  is pleased to announce to the public the calendar of its activities in conjunction with the weekend of Contemporary Arts and Artissima – International Fair of Contemporary Art – which will be held in the city on November 7 – 9, 2014.

ARTISSIMA / MUSEI IN MOSTRA
The section of the expo dedicated to museums, foundations, and public and artistic institutions in the area, is where the Turin group will present the work of Pesce Khete (1980, Rome), an artist-in-residence and winner of the research grant of the 2013 Bivaccourbano_R program, organized in collaboration with the Barriera Association and hosted at the association’s stand.

NOTTE DELLE ARTI CONTEMPORANEE

During the Night of Contemporary Arts from 9 p.m. until midnight, it will be possible to visit the Diogene Tram, located in the rotunda of Corso Regio Parco/Corso Verona, the collective’s home and center of their annual activities: Bivaccourbano, Solid Void, Collecting People, and DiogeneLab.

COLAZIONE IN BARRIERA

The annual edition of the historic Breakfast in Barriera will inaugurate the exhibition Fast dunkel, she says, by the Italian-Swiss artist Pesce Khete. Curated by Diogene Project, the exhibition in the former industrial complex that has been completely renovated by the Barriera Association, located at via Crescentino 25, will be opened to the public at 10 a.m.. The catalog on the project, with texts by Manuela Pacella, will also be presented during the inauguration.

OPEN STUDIO JAIMINI PATEL

At  noon, the next appointment is the opening of the studio of Jaimini Patel (1974, London) who was recently proclaimed the winner in 2014 of the eighth edition of Diogene Bivaccourbano_R, the international competition in support of artistic research in the Turin area. Her open studio is located at via Modena 43/E.
