Saturday, November 3rd 2018, 4PM

Docks Dora. Via Valprato, 68 – Torino
@NESXT Novella Guerra In/Out  c/o Studio65

The artists of Progetto Diogene, in dialogue with the curator of visual art Daria Carmi, will be assessing their ten-years of experience, stimulating a shared reflection on some key issues articulating them through a collection of questions.
Sense of artistic research, autonomy, sustainability, responsibility: some of the themes emerging from Diogene’s practice, will be addressed in a collective work session to reflect on what has been done, on future intentions, and go in search of what still does not exist.

Daria Carmi (Casale Monferrato, 1984). She was graduated in Design and Production of Visual Arts at the IUAV University of Venice. She is a curator of visual art. Her research focuses on cultural policies, the contemporary artistic supply chain, the processes of urban and social transformation through art. She applies to social system a reading of cultural practices in reference to the concept of “human being” and its continuous re-definition based on context, place, history, personal and community origin. Her work stems from a vision of art as an active agent in society, capable of activating economy, change, integration, self-determination, relationship, dialogue. She currently serves as Assessor for Culture and Tourism in Casale Monferrato and Young Curator at the “Jewish Art, History, and Culture Foundation in Casale Monferrato and East Piedmont” non–profit association.
